Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as a trusted technical advisor connecting customer priorities and technical requirements with secure, scalable Cisco solutions
- Lead cross-architecture strategies spanning AI, Enterprise Networking, Service Provider, Security, Splunk, Data Center, Cloud, Collaboration and Automation
- Engage customer technical executives, architects, engineering teams and decision-makers
- Translate business and operational priorities into technical strategies and cross-architecture solutions
- Engage new lines of business and stakeholders to uncover priorities and identify opportunities
- Lead customer conversations around AI strategy and AI-ready infrastructure
- Collaborate with global and regional account teams across the Americas
- Lead technical discovery, architectural design, presentations, demonstrations, workshops and proof-of-concept activities
- Position Cisco differentiation and business value and develop competitive technical strategies
- Coordinate specialists, business entities, partners and Customer Experience resources throughout the sales cycle
- Represent customer priorities within Cisco and maintain strategic relationships with engineering, services and support teams
- Maintain expertise across Cisco technologies and use industry trends, competitive insights and AI-enabled tools to provide customer recommendations
Requirements
What you’ll need- 7+ years of experience in solutions engineering, pre-sales engineering, technical consulting or a comparable customer-facing technology role
- Experience designing and positioning enterprise solutions across AI, Enterprise Networking, Security, Splunk, Data Center, Cloud, Automation, IoT and Collaboration
- Experience leading technical discovery, solution-design presentations, demonstrations, workshops or proof-of-concept activities for large enterprise customers
- Experience translating customer business priorities into technical strategies and engaging with senior and executive stakeholders
- Ability to travel within the Americas and participate in global customer or team meetings across time zones
- Cisco certification such as CCIE or an equivalent industry-recognized technical certification preferred
- BS/BA in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience preferred
- Experience designing and positioning AI-ready infrastructure
- Technical expertise in Service Provider technologies and routing, including large-scale IP/MPLS networks, segment routing or network automation
- Experience supporting multiple large and complex global enterprise environments
- Ability to support multiple large global enterprise accounts and communicate complex technical strategies across cultures, functions and geographic regions
