Key responsibilities & impact

Deliver Lifecycle Services as part of Cisco's Customer Experience team
Work on complex technical solutions and high-priority projects
Ensure deployments are stable, scalable, and aligned with customer business goals
Transform current and future customer architectures
Support day-to-day customer activities
Train and mentor other engineers
Grow expertise across the Cisco portfolio and become the go-to expert in Mobility
Understand product interactions and competitor solutions in real-world environments
Build strong customer rapport as a reliable technical focal point
Participate in solution discussions by connecting technical features to business priorities
Use customer setup insights to recommend the best path forward
Develop and review project documentation, including CIQs, LLDs, and test plans
Leverage Cisco AI tools to automate deliverables and configurations
Ensure technical accuracy of project outputs
Implement innovative delivery methodologies
Provide technical guidance across multifunctional teams and customer environments
Lead high-visibility projects and translate global team objectives into technical execution strategies

Requirements

What you’ll need

6–8 years of expertise in the full lifecycle—planning, design, implementation, and optimization—of end-to-end 4G/5G mobile packet core architectures and 3GPP standards
Deep technical proficiency in packet core nodes, including S-GW, P-GW, MME, SMF, UPF, and 5G NSA/SA
Proficiency in StarOS and Cisco infrastructure, including ASR55K, UCS, and Nexus
Experience with cloud-native environments including Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, and OpenStack
Advanced automation skills in Python, Linux, and shell scripting
AI/ML knowledge
Strong technical writing and communication skills
Ability to develop LLDs, MOPs, and implementation plans
Ability to serve as the primary technical focal point for customers and cross-functional teams
Ability to mentor junior engineers and lead high-visibility projects
Preferred: ability to influence, motivate, and work in a highly cross-functional matrix environment
Preferred: hands-on experience with 5G Packet Core call flows and load testing
Preferred: proficiency in Cisco products such as ASR55K, StarOS, VPC-DI, Ultra-M, CVIM, CNDP, CPS, UCS, Nexus, and Catalyst
Preferred: networking certifications such as CCNA/CCNP, DevNet, CKA, RHOSP, or RHOCP
