About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide direct engineering support to customers to ensure the successful integration and optimization of Cirrus Logic’s advanced audio amplifier solutions.
- Support the design and review of customer's PCB schematics and layouts.
- Conduct customer-application focused circuit analysis and data collection.
- Travel to customer sites to support design-in and debug activities.
- Lead the design of the customer development boards for new audio products.
- Develop product collateral such as application notes, reference designs and demos.
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams during the product development.
- Support the Marketing and Sales teams during product promotions and conferences.
- Collaborate with the Systems team on the definition of new products and features.
- Lead technical trainings for customer and field teams.
- Autonomously handle and prioritize tasks with strong sense of ownership and high sense of urgency.
Requirements
What you’ll need- BS or MS in Electrical Engineering with 10+ years of Applications or Systems Engineering experience supporting audio products
- Experience with audio amplifiers and power electronics
- Proven experience debugging customer system level issues
- Strong hands-on experience analyzing and evaluating audio products with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, signal generators, Audio Precision analyzers, logic analyzers, and spectrum analyzers
- Experience with PCB schematic and layout design, including component selection
- Demonstrated aptitude in understanding of various industry interface standards such as I2C, SPI, I2S or high speed control/data bus
- Familiarity with scripting/programming language such as Python or similar
- Strong ability to clearly communicate both verbally and in writing
- Effective interpersonal skills
