About the role

  • Create and execute test plans during pre-silicon and post-silicon phases of the product
  • Contribute to the design, creation, and enhancement of the test framework, including developing modules to enable more effective validation techniques
  • Find issues and triage/debug them with team members in the software organization
  • Identify, report, and handle defects in a defect tracking system
  • Present results to product owners and internal customers to assist in resolving defects
  • Analyze test result data to identify patterns, extract insights, and support conclusions that improve product quality
  • Collaborate with experienced engineers to solve real-world challenges and contribute to product development

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or Computer Engineering with a GPA of 3.5 or higher
  • Knowledge of embedded systems and Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS)
  • Knowledge of scripting or programming languages such as (Python/shell, C, C++)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Understanding of MCU and DSP cores/processors (preferred)
  • Understanding of software testing and test automation principles (preferred)
  • Familiar with defect management practices (preferred)
  • Familiar with SDLC (preferred)
  • Familiar with Jira, svn/git, and Continuous Integration systems (e.g., Jenkins) (preferred)
  • Must be based within commutable distance of the work location listed or willing to relocate prior to beginning the internship
