About the role

  • Review security events to detect and prevent potential information security incidents
  • Analyze threats and identify strategies to contain and mitigate them
  • Participate in the investigation and remediation of information security incidents
  • Maintain and enhance incident detection and management tools (Microsoft Sentinel, Microsoft Defender)
  • Maintain and improve environment security tools and configurations (Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Purview)
  • Act as a key player and facilitator in promoting user awareness of risks and threats
  • Contribute to vulnerability management
  • Participate in the change management process
  • Help develop information security policies and act as a change agent in their implementation
  • Monitor emerging technologies and trends related to information security

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in information security OR a DEC (college diploma) with relevant experience
  • Minimum 5 years of information security experience in a large corporate environment
  • Strong knowledge of IT security (risk analysis, protective controls, vulnerability management, encryption, monitoring, etc.)
  • Experience with Microsoft security tools (Sentinel, Defender, Intune, Purview), KQL, and PowerShell
  • Familiarity with Cisco and Fortinet networking technologies
  • Strong interest in task automation (PowerShell, Python, Power Platform) and the use of productivity tools (AI)
  • Comfortable reconstructing and analyzing data flows and conducting technology watch
  • Highly curious with strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to maintain strong interpersonal relationships
  • High proficiency in French and English
  • Strong attention to detail and a rigorous work ethic
  • Ability to work independently
  • Asset: specialized information security certification (CEH, CISSP, SSCP, GIAC, or other)
