About the role
- Provide strategic and day-to-day legal support across corporate, regulatory, and operational matters with a strong focus on healthcare and telemedicine compliance and commercial agreements.
- Advise on HIPAA, state privacy laws, and data security requirements.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of corporate and transactional documents.
- Advise leadership and business stakeholders on legal and regulatory risks.
- Partner with Product, Engineering, and business teams to provide legal guidance on new features and workflows.
- Support responses to regulatory inquiries, audits, investigations, and internal compliance issues.
Requirements
- 3 - 6+ years of experience in health care regulatory and transactional matters (candidates with less than three years’ experience may be considered for an assistant counsel position)
- J.D. from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials and relevant experience in healthcare, regulatory, and/or transactional law
- Active bar membership in good standing
- Experience in telemedicine preferred but not required.
