About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Verify merchandise and cash in Company stores through physical counts using a handheld computer
- Notify store managers of incorrect prices and remove out-of-code merchandise
- Count and record cash, checks, and food stamps in registers, TACC tubes, and safes
- Verify money orders, lottery ticket inventory, and bank deposits
- Verify gasoline inventory by checking tanks and water levels
- Conduct surveys to verify compliance with operational and financial procedures
- Follow safety procedures, rules, and regulations
- Work independently with little supervision
- Perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Contribute to team efforts and complete related duties as needed
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Requires 1 year of inventory auditing experience or retail experience in a convenience store environment
- Valid driver’s license with no major offenses
- Current liability car insurance
- Occasional overnight travel may be required
- Ability to work independently with little supervision
- Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to lift items weighing up to 25 lbs.
