About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Review completed projects in POPA for accuracy and prepare CIP (Construction in Progress) files for loading into the Fixed Asset system
  • Reconcile GL accounts
  • Ensure store asset audits are performed every five years
  • Prepare project entries to ensure correct recording of invoices
  • Prepare financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends
  • Document financial transactions by entering account information and auditing supporting documents when needed
  • Maintain financial security by ensuring internal and SOX controls are followed
  • Answer accounting procedure questions by researching and interpreting accounting policies and regulations
  • Ensure compliance with requirements, policies, and regulations by enforcing corporate controls and policies
  • Assist with asset setup
  • Perform other assigned duties as needed

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Associate degree in accounting or related field preferred
  • Other combinations of experience and education that meet the minimum requirements may be substituted
  • One to two years of accounting experience preferred
  • Computer literacy in MS Excel and Access
  • Ability to organize and prioritize detailed information
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills required to effectively work with other departments
  • Experience with POPA, PDI and/or FAS software is a plus
