About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Analyze, design, implement, and maintain complex EMR systems supporting clinical care and patient management
- Support system testing and document testing outcomes
- Drive process improvement and demonstrate advanced problem-solving and technical solution skills
- Use development lifecycle processes, operating procedures, and documentation to implement and support system solutions
- Lead strategy and innovation in clinical systems training and build environments
- Develop and mentor others on education technology content
- Lead design, development, and implementation of new and enhanced EMR requests
- Develop and manage project plans and documentation for complex projects
- Manage multiple moderate to complex projects independently
- Determine project scope, prioritize tasks, and coordinate resources
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, end users, third-party developers, and internal and external stakeholders
- Provide end-user support and monitor Service Level Agreements for incident management
- Plan and support clinical system training and create and curate education and training materials
- Maintain customer relationships and promote change-management practices
- Prepare oral and written presentations
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in a related field OR equivalent combination of education and experience
- 5+ years of work experience in a related job discipline
- Comprehensive understanding of Epic workflows and integration across diverse clinical and operational areas
- Ability to support complex EMR environments
- Ability to lead moderately complex projects and initiatives independently
- Epic certifications are preferred, including Epic Inpatient Clinical Documentation, Epic Ambulatory, Epic Inpatient Procedure Orders, Epic Cadence, Grand Central, or other Epic certifications related to clinical care delivery
