About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead, plan, direct, organize, control, and improve functions of the assigned CT division within Radiology
  • Coordinate and conduct section and staff meetings
  • Develop and conduct in-service education programs for new equipment, procedures, and policies with the Radiology educator
  • Assist senior and business directors with budgets and department operations reviews
  • Partner with medical staff and management to ensure high-quality customer service
  • Recommend operational changes affecting productivity, efficiency, and service quality
  • Perform staff imaging technologist duties when necessary
  • Develop and monitor staffing and retention strategies, including hiring and terminating employees
  • Manage performance of direct reports and establish orientation procedures for new employees
  • Mentor direct reports and provide learning and development opportunities
  • Collaborate with Human Resources and department leadership on talent management goals
  • Implement and enforce policies and procedures supporting departmental operations
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulatory requirements
  • Design or implement compliance programs, policies, and procedures; track relevant laws and regulations
  • Prepare compliance reports and communicate results as necessary
  • Assist with fiscal responsibilities, monitor budget expenditures, research variances, track revenue and expenses, provide reports, research major purchases, and assist with annual budget preparation
  • Coordinate patient care and communication within a pediatric medical center

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology or equivalent
  • 5+ years of work experience in a related job discipline
  • Registered ARRT (R)
  • Registered ARRT (CT)
  • Ohio radiology professional license as applicable to the modalities overseen
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • Preferred: Management/leadership experience
