About the role
- Assesses patients, clients and families and recognizes normal parameters, deviations and abnormalities in physical, emotional, developmental and behavioral status as it relates to cardio-pulmonary needs
- Collects clinical data, utilizes decision trees and guidelines
- Matches formal knowledge with clinical events to make appropriate decisions
- Demonstrates critical thinking by making appropriate care decisions and relating that information to the healthcare team
- Facilitates patient and family learning by providing structured education based upon the Plan of Care and patient and family needs
Requirements
- Associate's degree in related field or equivalent
- 0+ years of work experience in a related job discipline
- RT License, Registered RT
- Graduate of CoARC approved respiratory care program
