About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead telecom equipment installations and commissioning activities in Central Office and Service Provider environments
- Coordinate field crews and subcontractors to deliver projects safely, efficiently, and in accordance with approved procedures
- Execute circuit modifications, software upgrades, power transitions, and live network activities with precision
- Perform quality assurance inspections, technical verifications, and final project walkthroughs
- Interpret and resolve issues within job specifications, wiring schematics, equipment layouts, and MOPs
- Maintain accurate installation records, as-built documentation, audits, and project reporting
- Build strong customer relationships through professional on-site communication and technical leadership
Requirements
What you’ll need- Education: High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience: 3+ years of telecom installation experience within Central Office or Service Provider environments
- Demonstrated expertise in fiber, copper, coax, DC power systems, BDFB installations, and equipment testing
- Strong ability to read and interpret MOPs, technical drawings, wiring schematics, and equipment layouts
- Proven leadership experience directing installation teams, mentoring technicians, and conducting QA inspections
- Working knowledge of Telcordia GR-1275, AT&T TP-76300, and telecom safety standards
- Willingness and ability to travel nationwide and work flexible schedules, including nights and weekends
