About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Oversee the strategic management of contentious litigation in civil and tax matters, acting directly or by coordinating external law firms;
- Monitor judicial proceedings and administrative procedures, ensuring the company's interests are protected, deadlines are met, and the technical quality of filings is maintained, through deadline tracking, review of procedural documents, and definition of defense strategy, aligning the defense theory prior to hearings with external counsel, company representatives and, where applicable, witnesses;
- Analyze and, when necessary, prepare management reports on judicial and administrative litigation;
- Assess requests and provide technical support to internal departments focused on mitigating liabilities and preventing litigation;
- Advise the company's internal clients as needed on legal matters, covering Corporate and Business Units;
- Draft and review contracts and documents, including complex agreements for structured financial operations, purchase and sale of assets, among others; respond to legal queries and judicial or extrajudicial notices as required, ensuring compliance with applicable legislation and judicial decisions on the matters;
- Prepare corporate documents, such as meeting minutes, shareholders' meeting minutes and partners' meeting minutes;
- Ensure process integrity and the legal security of the organization;
- Monitor brand management;
- Contribute to decision-making in group negotiations that require legal support by providing appropriate legal advice, ensuring that legal inputs are supplied as essential elements for negotiation decisions;
- Represent the group in court, attending hearings and public authorities whenever necessary;
- Be technically responsible for the area of practice, monitoring activities, providing guidance to the team, and interacting with the immediate supervisor to contribute to process improvement and development of the area, aiming to achieve pre-established goals;
- Contribute to continuous improvement and ongoing optimization of area processes by reducing rework, streamlining procedures, providing the necessary conditions for task execution, and participating in relevant courses and events;
- Contribute to meeting the targets established for the area, support critical analysis of results obtained, ensure compliance with the budget plan, and manage the company's physical assets, information and documents.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Law;
- Postgraduate degree or specialization in Tax, Civil or Corporate Law;
- Knowledge of the agribusiness sector (preferred);
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with emphasis on Excel, PowerPoint and Word;
- Familiarity with Artificial Intelligence.
