About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Conduct risk-focused audits
- Advise business partners on internal controls
- Ensure compliance with CIBC policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements
- Develop and complete audit reports
- Assess the adequacy of controls
- Recommend solutions to address identified risks
- Collaborate with stakeholders and audit management
- Execute technology and integrated audits
- Develop testing strategies and draft audit findings
Requirements
What you’ll need- Degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Information Systems, or related technical field
- Professional designation such as CISSP, CompTIA Security+, CISA, CRISC or equivalent business experience
- 3 to 5 years of Financial Services, Big 4, or similar experience in planning and executing IT and/or cybersecurity audits
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity governance, threat management, data security, access management, and change management
- Detail-oriented and analytical
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Collaborative team player
- Effective communicator
