About the role
- Lead the design and implementation of the model governance framework
- Build and maintain model risk policies and standards
- Oversee the model inventory including classification, documentation, and change management
- Direct activities of the model risk committee and facilitate committee operations
- Engage with stakeholders across the bank and serve as primary point of contact for model governance matters
- Produce regular risk reports for senior leadership, risk committees, and the Board
- Drive continuous improvement in model risk processes
- Lead and develop a high-performing team
Requirements
- Experience in model risk management
- Experience in regulatory compliance
- Experience in policy development
- Experience with SR 11-7 or similar regulatory frameworks (asset)
- Degree/diploma in a related field such as finance, risk management, or mathematics
- Analytical skills
- People leadership experience, including coaching and team development
- Influential and relationship-building skills
- Detail oriented and critical thinking skills
- Ability to communicate detailed information effectively
- Legal eligibility to work at the specified locations / valid work or study permit where applicable
- May be asked to complete attribute-based assessment and other skills tests (simulation, coding, MS Office)
