About the role
- Work strategically in the development cycle (Shift-Left Testing), actively participating in requirements refinement and solution design.
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test architectures (functional, regression, integration, and API) using tools such as Rest Assured, Cucumber, and similar.
- Validate REST and SOAP APIs, ensuring adherence to architectural standards, design best practices, and security.
- Perform complex backend validations involving database queries (SQL) and messaging/event systems.
- Integrate and maintain the execution of automated tests within CI/CD pipelines.
- Serve as a technical reference in the quality area.
- Analyze quality metrics, identify bottlenecks, and propose continuous improvements to the squad's processes.
Requirements
- Strong experience in backend and API test automation.
- Proficiency in programming languages used for automation (e.g., Java, Python, Ruby, or JavaScript/TypeScript).
- Hands-on experience with continuous integration (CI/CD).
- Knowledge of relational and/or NoSQL databases for data validation.
