About the role
- Lead Pre-Sales & Strategic Solutioning (~75%): Act as the senior technology lead in all major sales pursuits. You will own the technical solution strategy, engage with senior client stakeholders, lead "whiteboarding" sessions, and architect compelling, enterprise-grade proposals that directly address client needs.
- Champion AI & Data Transformation: Be our primary enthusiast and expert for AI/Gen-AI. You will lead conversations, define roadmaps, and architect solutions that drive tangible business value for our clients, leveraging a deep understanding of modern enterprise data platforms.
- Senior Client Advisory: Serve as a trusted advisor to client executives. You will lead conversations on technology trends, digital transformation, and innovation, translating complex technical concepts into clear business outcomes and building C-level relationships.
- Billable Strategic Engagements: Personally lead the most critical, billable "front-load" engagements, such as initial discoveries, AI readiness assessments, technology inceptions, and strategic roadmaps, ensuring we start key projects on the right foundation.
- Thought Leadership & Brand Building: Be the public face of our company's technology PoV in Australia. You will be expected to speak at conferences, participate in industry events, publish thought leadership content, and actively build our brand and network.
- Delivery & Capability Partnership: Collaborate closely with the Head of Delivery to ensure a seamless handover from pre-sales to execution. You will also mentor senior technologists and help build our internal capability, IP, and accelerators.
Requirements
- Extensive Technology Leadership: A minimum of 12-15+ years in senior-level technology roles (e.g., Principal Architect, Head of Technology, Solutioning Director) within an enterprise-level environment.
- Proven Consulting Background: Significant experience and a current background in technology consulting is highly preferred. You must be adept at solutioning, shaping proposals, and managing senior client relationships.
- Australian Market & Network: Must have at least 5+ years of experience in the Australian market, possessing a strong, reputable, and active professional network.
- Deep Technical Expertise: "Solution Architect-level" depth in modern technologies, including cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), digital architecture, and the SDLC.
- AI & Data "Gun": Proven, hands-on experience with AI/Gen-AI projects. Must be a genuine enthusiast who can strategically guide clients. **Significant expertise in Modern Enterprise Data platforms is essential; strong credentials and a network in the Databricks (DBX) ecosystem are a major advantage.**
- Senior Presence: Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. You must be a technologist who is comfortable commanding a room and confidently leading discussions with a CIO/CTO, for example.
- Collaborative Mindset: A proven ability to collaborate with sales, delivery managers, and executive leadership in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
