About the role
- Create high-precision 3D anatomical models to be used in our immersive healthcare teaching platforms, ensuring visual quality and scientific fidelity while maintaining the necessary optimizations for VR and mobile environments.
- Produce 3D anatomical models with a high level of precision and visual quality.
- Apply texturing techniques to provide appropriate realism to the models.
- Optimize meshes for use on VR and mobile platforms, balancing quality and performance.
- Follow a consistent development pipeline, adhering to technical standards and naming conventions.
- Collaborate with anatomy specialists to ensure the scientific accuracy of the models.
- Adapt to a high-volume production workflow (our products currently include more than 3,500 anatomical structures).
- Participate in validation sessions with anatomy instructors to refine the models.
Requirements
- Proven experience in 3D modeling, with proficiency in software such as Blender, Maya, 3ds Max, or ZBrush.
- Advanced knowledge of PBR texturing and materials.
- Experience with model optimization techniques for hardware-constrained platforms.
- Understanding of topology and retopology for mesh optimization.
- Ability to work from visual and technical references to create accurate models.
- Knowledge of UV mapping and efficient texturing.
- Previous experience in anatomical or medical visualization projects.
- Basic knowledge of human anatomy.
- Familiarity with Unity or other real-time engines.
- Experience developing for VR or mobile devices.
- Skills in digital sculpting and organic modeling.
- Understanding of LOD (Level of Detail) systems for optimization.
