About the role
- Manage the entire payroll process, including salary calculations, deductions, benefits, provisions, employer social charges and filings.
- Supervise the payroll team and ensure ongoing training and development of staff.
- Ensure all processes comply with Brazilian labor legislation and regulatory standards.
- Maintain internal control procedures and conduct periodic audits.
- Ensure the efficiency of payroll team processes and the accuracy of generated data, as well as the integration of this information with legacy systems.
- Analyze payroll team metrics to identify improvement opportunities and develop strategies that contribute to the business.
- Respond to and clarify questions from management and HR regarding payroll issues and data produced by the payroll team.
- Collaborate with other areas such as Human Resources, Controllership and Accounting to implement strategies that improve process efficiency.
- Implement and improve payroll-related policies and procedures.
- Monitor changes in tax and labor legislation and ensure the company remains compliant.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
- Solid experience in payroll processing.
- Proficiency in payroll software.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Fluent in English.
