About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Responsible for managing assigned accounts within a defined territory
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients in the portfolio
  • Ensure contract renewals and guarantee client satisfaction
  • Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for existing clients in the portfolio
  • Analyze and address clients’ technical, administrative, and financial needs
  • Prepare commercial proposals and follow up on them
  • Recommend additional services that drive revenue growth
  • Present and demonstrate products and services
  • Work closely with internal teams to achieve objectives

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Federal VET diploma (CFC) as a commercial clerk or equivalent qualification
  • Additional training in sales negotiation or key account management is a plus
  • Minimum 3 to 7 years’ experience in a B2B sales role, account management, or business development
  • Strong command of the full sales cycle: prospecting, qualification, proposal, negotiation, closing, and retention
  • Experience in the fire protection sector is an asset
  • Ability to analyze clients’ technical, administrative, and financial needs
  • Proficiency in consultative selling and negotiation techniques
  • Ability to prepare commercial proposals and manage a sales pipeline
  • Knowledge of commercial indicators: revenue, margin, profitability, forecast, conversion rate
  • Ability to identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities
  • Ability to deliver product/service presentations and demonstrations
  • Good understanding of business priorities and client mapping
  • Proficiency with office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.) and a CRM (Salesforce, Dynamics, HubSpot or equivalent)
