About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Carry out general labor responsibilities promptly and efficiently
- Develop and maintain knowledge of commodities handled at the location
- Comply with company policies and government regulations pertaining to commodities
- Work with customers in a courteous and professional manner
- Prepare trucks for loading and unloading, including sampling, loosening large nuts, opening hatches, and attaching or detaching flexible hoses
- Load and unload agricultural inputs using heavy or light-duty machinery and equipment
- Control and monitor load-out functions
- Monitor and maintain inventory quality
- Maintain clean, orderly, and safe work areas
- Perform housekeeping duties such as sweeping, shoveling, power washing, scraping, and cleaning spills
- Complete appropriate record keeping
- Perform grounds maintenance, including snow removal
- Perform warehouse loading and unloading
- Report customer complaints, repair or maintenance needs, and safety concerns to a supervisor
- Promote a strong safety culture and identify and communicate workplace hazards
- Perform other assigned duties to ensure smooth facility operations and excellent customer service
Requirements
What you’ll need- Knowledge of Operations and/or Business Operations
- Must meet minimum age requirement
- Ability to work extended hours during peak seasons
- Ability to lift 75 pounds
- Ability to climb ladders, stairs, and bins
- Ability to work in dust and adverse weather conditions and temperatures
- Must pass pre-employment screenings if required, including drug, criminal, motor vehicle, physical requirements, and FMCSA Clearinghouse checks
- Must follow company policies, procedures, and safety requirements
