About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Load and unload grain products and agricultural inputs from railcars and trucks
- Prepare trucks and railcars for loading and unloading, including sampling and equipment connections
- Operate loaders, conveyors, tractors, track mobiles, forklifts, automated scale/dump systems, and other machinery
- Probe incoming trucks and control and monitor load-out functions
- Perform equipment and facility maintenance, including lubrication and inspections for seeps and leaks
- Monitor and maintain inventory quality
- Deliver fertilizer, chemical, seed, feed, and other products to customer sites
- Maintain clean, orderly, and safe work areas; perform housekeeping and grounds maintenance, including snow removal
- Perform warehouse work and general maintenance
- Complete appropriate records and promptly report complaints, maintenance needs, repairs, and safety concerns
- Follow safety policies, identify workplace hazards, and support smooth facility operations and customer service
Requirements
What you’ll need- Must meet minimum age requirement
- 1+ years of experience in Operations and/or Business Operations
- Ability to operate loaders, conveyors, tractors, and track mobiles
- Ability to work extended hours during peak seasons
- High School diploma or GED preferred
- CDL license or ability to attain one with Hazmat endorsement preferred
- Agriculture experience preferred
- Forklift certification preferred
- Ability to lift 75 pounds
- Ability to climb rail cars, ladders, stairs, and bins
- Ability to work in dust and adverse weather conditions and temperatures
- May be required to pass drug, criminal, motor vehicle, physical requirements, and FMCSA Clearinghouse screenings
