About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide work direction, training, and assistance to less experienced team members
Provide excellent customer service and greet customers promptly and courteously
Assist customers browsing inventory or checking out items at the counter
Perform cashier responsibilities, including accepting payments and issuing receipts
Display and organize products in the store
Maintain store appearance through dusting, cleaning, and restocking merchandise
Order merchandise and track inventory as assigned
Monitor customers for loss prevention
Prepare displays and promotions
Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow safety policies, training, PPE procedures, and regulations
Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance correcting unsafe conditions
Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need

3+ years of experience in Retail and/or Retail Merchandising and Customer Service
Proficient in MS Office suite
Ability to read, write, and communicate in English with customers and coworkers
Basic math and computer skills to operate store equipment, including cash registers and time and record-keeping systems
Ability to work flexible hours preferred
High school diploma or GED preferred
Must pass applicable pre-employment screenings if required, potentially including drug, criminal, motor vehicle, physical requirements, and FMCSA Clearinghouse checks
