About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide excellent customer service
Treat customers professionally and greet them promptly and courteously
Assist customers browsing inventory or checking out items at the counter
Perform cashier responsibilities, including accepting payments and issuing receipts
Display and organize products in the store
Maintain store appearance through dusting, cleaning, and restocking merchandise
Assist with ordering merchandise and tracking inventory
Monitor customers to assist with loss prevention
Assist with preparing displays and promotions
Maintain and promote a strong safety culture
Follow safety policies, training, personal protective equipment procedures, and regulations
Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance correcting unsafe conditions
Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need

Knowledge of retail and/or retail merchandising and customer service
Must meet minimum age requirement
Proficiency in MS Office Suite
Ability to read, write, and communicate in English with customers and coworkers
Basic math and computer skills to operate store equipment, including cash registers and timekeeping and recordkeeping systems
Ability to work flexible hours preferred
High school diploma or GED preferred
Ability to sit, stand, squat, bend, and repeatedly lift up to 55 lbs
Selected candidates must pass applicable pre-employment screenings if required, which may include drug, criminal, motor vehicle, physical requirements, and FMCSA Clearinghouse checks
