About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Operate feed mill equipment (grinders, mixers, batching/pelleting systems) to manufacture livestock feed
  • Receive, handle, and move feed ingredients, load and unload trucks
  • Prepare and manage loadout, including opening hatches, attaching hoses, sampling, and ensuring accurate product delivery
  • Monitor batching/scaling systems and adjust processes to maintain feed quality and production accuracy
  • Perform routine equipment maintenance (greasing, inspections, minor troubleshooting) and report mechanical issues
  • Maintain a clean, safe mill environment through daily housekeeping, spill cleanup, and site upkeep
  • Follow all safety, quality, and compliance standards while working with the team to meet daily production targets

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Must meet minimum age requirement
  • 1+ years of experience in operations, production, manufacturing, agriculture, or general labor environments.
  • Ability to operate machinery such as loaders, conveyors, tractors, and track mobile
  • Ability to work extended hours during peak seasons to meet business demands
  • High School diploma or GED preferred
  • Agriculture experience preferred
  • Forklift certification preferred
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to work independently for extended periods of time, as well as in confined spaces and in hazardous environments. Ability to spend long periods of time on your feet including walking, standing and climbing steps and ladders, and working at heights up to 120 ft. Ability to lift and carry materials up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to wear all required protective equipment may include respirators, hard hats, and eye and hearing protection.
  • Ability to use both automated and manual tools and equipment. Ability to shovel, sweep, load, unload, lift and carry materials up to 50 lbs frequently
  • Ability to work in noisy, dusty, and all-weather conditions
