About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Oversee grain and agronomy operations at the Sterling location, including the fertilizer plant and grain elevator
  • Manage day-to-day operations to provide customers with prompt, courteous, and effective service while meeting operational and divisional objectives
  • Lead, train, and support approximately six direct reports through clear work direction, performance feedback, and employee development
  • Oversee inventory management, product ordering, asset utilization, and operational readiness for grain and agronomy facilities
  • Manage fertilizer operations of approximately 20,000 tons annually, with the ability to support future growth and increased volume
  • Complete administrative responsibilities, including COUPA activity, inventory ordering, time-off approvals, and required operational documentation
  • Work alongside employees during peak seasons while responding to operational questions and customer needs in a timely and professional manner
  • Maintain effective communication with employees, customers, and leadership to support alignment on priorities, service expectations, and business needs
  • Promote and maintain a strong safety and compliance culture across the fertilizer plant and grain elevator by following policies, identifying hazards, and correcting unsafe conditions
  • Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while supporting grain and agronomy operations, customer service, and overall location performance

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School diploma or GED
  • 4+ years of experience in Operations and/or Business Operations
  • Prior leadership experience with progressively advancing level of leadership responsibilities
