About the role

  • Conduct analytical testing to monitor control of processes and ensure final products meet specifications
  • Perform routine testing on inbound, in-process, and finished products in a timely manner
  • Conduct testing and routine maintenance on water treatment systems
  • Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures and regulations
  • Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions
  • Utilize lab equipment (HPLC, IC, GC, Cell Counter, IR, NIR, Titrators)
  • Perform additional testing as needed
  • Participate in training opportunities to further product safety and quality knowledge
  • Collaborate with plant leadership team to identify and make final decisions on product quality challenges
  • Adhere to feed safety and good manufacturing policies at all times
  • Ability to work independently and as a part of a team
  • Maintain clean and safe work area at all times
  • Ability to work overtime or holidays if needed

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience in Quality Management and/or Quality Assurance
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Prior experience in a Quality Assurance role in food production or agriculture
  • Prior experience in large-scale chemical or processing environments.
  • Experience with mobile equipment (forklift, electric pallet jack, aerial lift, etc.)
  • Experience with safety programs including Lock Out/Tag Out, confined space, line break, and chemical hazard communication/chemical hygiene.
