About the role

  • Define and continuously refine a clear product vision, strategy, and roadmap aligned to CHS objectives, customer needs, and measurable outcomes
  • Partner with customers, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to gather insights, validate needs, and ensure the product delivers meaningful business value
  • Own and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring work is clearly defined, actionable, and focused on the highest customer and business value
  • Lead creation of epics and features and partner with business analysts and team members to decompose work into right-sized user stories with clear acceptance criteria
  • Establish quality expectations by ensuring stories align to acceptance standards and Definition of Done
  • Mentor team members in product ownership practices, prioritization, and agile ways of working to strengthen team effectiveness
  • Translate emerging risks, audit findings, and compliance needs into backlog priorities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology Management, or related field (or equivalent years of experience, education and/or training)
  • 4+ years of experience in Information Technology and/or IT Technology Consulting and Support
  • 3+ years of experience in a product owner or equivalent role working with both business and IT employees/stakeholders in a cross-functional environment
  • Demonstrated ability to define product direction, manage priorities, and deliver measurable business outcomes
  • Experience working in agile product delivery environments with backlog management tools
  • Experience with customer discovery, persona development, roadmap planning, and outcome-based measurement
  • Familiarity with release planning, product metrics, and continuous improvement practices
  • Strong communication, facilitation, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of software development procedures including scrum methodology
  • Advanced proficiency in agile delivery tools (e.g., Azure DevOps or GitHub) and data driven dashboards
