About the role
- With assistance, conduct logistics studies, including cost/benefit analysis.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with multiple providers and internal and external customers to meet their product needs and requests.
- Effectively and timely communicate changes and resulting impacts to CHS and our customers.
- Negotiate and monitor freight rates, needs and logistics with external suppliers and maintain appropriate documentation.
- Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures and regulations.
- Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions.
- Manage shipments and logistics through collaboration with plant manager, purchasing, merchandisers, and providers to ensure timely deliveries to our customers.
- Provide reports, analysis and recommendations for efficient and economic utilization of equipment.
- Maintain appropriate records, create and run various reports to provide management monthly, quarterly, and annual analysis of shipments.
- Monitor daily shipments timely and accurately and communicate cost saving alternatives.
- Research and recommend routing options with regard to customer opportunities.
- Understand plant production schedules and run rates to meet the needs of CHS customers.
- Perform other responsibilities as needed or assigned.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED
- Knowledge of Supply Chain and Procurement and/or Transportation and Logistics
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong data analysis, problem solving and presentation of solutions
- Bachelor's degree preferred in Business, Economics, Manufacturing, Logistics, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Statistics or related field
- Ingles basico
- Experiencia en logística y gestión de depósitos de granos en el sector agroindustrial
- Conocimientos en control de stock, conciliación de mercaderías y logística
- Habilidad de gestion de procesos y carga de remitos diarios
- Buen manejo de herramientas informáticas
- Analisis de datos
- Excel avanzado.
