About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide hands-on technical support service to ensure the smooth running of Chrysos PhotonAssay™ equipment
  • Maintain and service PhotonAssay™ installations in Nevada
  • Perform scheduled monthly maintenance and respond to breakdowns on short notice to minimise downtime and maximise availability
  • Provide technical support by telephone, email, and remote computer login for troubleshooting and performance checks
  • Liaise with support staff at Chrysos’ headquarters and technology partner in China
  • Train customers on safe operation and maintenance of the equipment
  • Manage spares inventory for each installation site
  • Complete maintenance and spares documentation and provide feedback to customers
  • Assist in developing and continually improving maintenance and service processes
  • Assist with installation and commissioning of new installations
  • Prepare fault records for statistics and reporting
  • Assist with Root Cause Analysis of faults and safety issues
  • Assist with recruiting and training new Maintenance Specialists
  • Schedule maintenance events in Nevada
  • Perform other duties delegated by the Maintenance Team Lead or Manager

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Demonstrated experience in maintaining technical equipment
  • Safety mindset
  • Strong customer service ethos and critical thinking skills
  • Able and willing to travel and work within the US, Canada, and overseas, including remote mine sites
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Valid rights to work
  • Current Driver’s Licence
  • Tertiary qualification in engineering or a closely related technical discipline is desirable
  • Familiarity with the mining industry and mine-site operations is desirable
  • Customer Service and Field Service experience in mining, mineral, or related processing industries is desirable
  • Demonstrated experience in fault finding in electro-mechanical equipment is desirable
  • Experience in electrical wiring and safety, power distribution, mechanical maintenance and repairs, basic electronics, metalworking, or engineering drawing and design is desirable
  • Experience in product development and the manufacturing sector is desirable
  • Familiarity with Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is desirable
