About the role
- The role operates as a central point of coordination within the Global Supply Chain, driving alignment between cross-functional teams such as engineering, manufacturing, logistics, and finance.
- This role focuses on fostering strong internal and external partnerships, ensuring seamless communication across all stakeholders, and leveraging data-driven insights to inform decision-making.
- With a balance of strategic oversight and hands-on involvement, the role is integral to delivering operational excellence, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring the efficient flow of goods and information across the organization.
- Responsible for managing the entire procurement and sourcing lifecycle, developing and maintaining strong supplier relationships, and ensuring cost-effective, timely, and high-quality supply of goods and services.
- In addition to procurement and supplier management, the role supports purchasing and logistics activities.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in strategic sourcing, supplier management, and procurement operations.
- Strong knowledge of global supply chain and logistics principles, including purchasing and inventory management.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., Net Suite, SAP, Oracle) and data analytics tools/ platforms for spend tracking and reporting.
- Ability to negotiate complex contracts and drive favourable outcomes.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and manage diverse stakeholder relationships.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex procurement challenges.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 7 years of experience in procurement, at a global scope across industrial, mining, chemical and technical sourcing.
- Leadership experience is advantageous but not essential.
