Patient Care Technician 2 – Post Partum

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide care to newly delivered mothers and their newborns
- Perform and accurately record vital signs, accu-checks, newborn bathing/testing, feeding/changing, and mobilizing patients out of bed
- Execute clerical duties to help support unit flow, capacity management and admission/discharge workflows
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school graduate or equivalent
- Previous patient care experience including taking vital signs
- Nursing student who has successfully completed clinical hours or completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program
- Acceptance into a Christiana Care approved Patient Care Technician training program
- 2 years clerical or related experience preferred
- BCLS Certification required
