About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide care to newly delivered mothers and their newborns
  • Perform and accurately record vital signs, accu-checks, newborn bathing/testing, feeding/changing, and mobilizing patients out of bed
  • Execute clerical duties to help support unit flow, capacity management and admission/discharge workflows

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Previous patient care experience including taking vital signs
  • Nursing student who has successfully completed clinical hours or completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program
  • Acceptance into a Christiana Care approved Patient Care Technician training program
  • 2 years clerical or related experience preferred
  • BCLS Certification required
