Patient Care Technician 2 – Post Partum, Part Time

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform and accurately record vital signs
- Accu-checks (both finger sticks and heel sticks)
- Newborn bathing/testing
- Newborn feeding/changing
- Mobilizing patients out of bed
- Maintaining the environment of care
- Execute clerical duties to support nursing staff and unit flow
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school graduate or equivalent
- Previous patient care experience including taking vital signs
- Nursing student who has successfully completed clinical hours or completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program
- Acceptance into a Christiana Care approved Patient Care Technician training program
- 2 years clerical or related experience preferred
- BCLS Certification required
