About the role
- Chorus Innovations is a fast-growing healthcare technology company with an adaptive platform as a service (PaaS) that enables the rapid development of mobile, desktop, text messaging and interactive voice applications.
- Build next-generation Healthcare App Platform — a flexible foundation that enables rapid development of high-quality, customizable healthcare applications.
- Design and build core platform services in Node.js / NestJS, focused on performance, modularity, and long-term maintainability
- Model complex domains in PostgreSQL, using sound data architecture principles (BCNF/3NF) to power customizable healthcare workflows
- Create internal tooling, APIs, and libraries that accelerate product teams and enable safe, scalable customization across applications
- Collaborate across product, design, and clinical teams to shape platform capabilities that directly support real-world healthcare use cases
- Enable front-end teams to build high-quality applications by providing reliable, well-documented service interfaces and reusable UI primitives
- Balance short-term delivery with long-term vision, making tradeoffs explicit and optimizing for developer velocity, product agility, and platform consistency
- Drive platform adoption by aligning evolution of internal tools with the needs of product and solution delivery teams
Requirements

- Deep experience with: Node.js + NestJS
- PostgreSQL (including strong data modeling skills)
- React (used in the context of platform UI libraries and applications)
- Strong cross-functional collaborator: You live and breathe platform engineering, and you evangelize the power of a well-built platform.
- Strong systems thinking: you’ve built frameworks, SDKs, design systems, or internal platforms that scale
- A pragmatic, product-oriented mindset — you’re focused on empowering other engineers through elegant abstractions
- Demonstrated product sense: understands user needs (internal teams), avoids overengineering, and builds with a clear value proposition
- Comfortable building and owning services in a service-oriented architecture
- The strongest candidates have: Experience in healthcare, workflow engines, permissions/RBAC systems, rules engines, or multi-tenant architectures
- Experience maintaining a fleet of applications built on a common platform
- Previous Product Management experience
- Previous consulting or external customer facing experience
