About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as a mentor and role model for youth, promoting servant leadership and life skills through structured program delivery.
- Coordinate and lead engaging activities that reinforce core values, teamwork, cultural identity, communication, and community service.
- Advocate for youth and connect them to support services when challenges arise, including referrals to internal or external resources.
- Screen and organize volunteer and educational opportunities to ensure safety, impact, and relevance for participating youth.
- Facilitate monthly student-led meetings using Robert’s Rules of Order and guide the development of community action projects.
- Collaborate with schools, coalitions, service organizations, and Choctaw Nation departments to plan and execute meaningful service initiatives.
- Maintain accurate records of service hours, participation, and initiative outcomes, and submit timely reports as required.
- Coordinate outreach efforts with schools and CNO programs to recruit new participants and expand program visibility.
- Assist with event logistics, planning, and execution, ensuring alignment with program goals and budget guidelines.
- Perform other duties as may be assigned.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Associate’s degree in education, behavioral sciences, or related field or;
- An equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience leading group activities, coordinating service events, or mentoring youth
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Two (2) years of directly related experience
