About the role

  • Define project scope in collaboration with senior management, end users, and stakeholders
  • Create work breakdown structures, capital expenditure requests, and manage budgets and forecasts
  • Create and execute detailed work plans and identify sequences of activities to complete projects
  • Select and manage resources and contract qualified consultants as appropriate
  • Define objectives and measures for project evaluation at completion
  • Ensure project personnel receive appropriate orientation
  • Perform change management in accordance with the Project Control Plan
  • Follow Chobani’s project management structure and document project activities using appropriate forms
  • Monitor project progress, adjust to meet performance and earned value against baseline
  • Review and update project schedules with senior management and impacted stakeholders
  • Initiate, manage, and receive all budgeted project expenditures and manage cash flow projections
  • Report actual cash flow and variances to senior management regularly
  • Manage all project funds according to established accounting policies and procedures
  • Oversee project closure including asset cost allocation, identifying nonvalue added activities, and asset disposals
  • Follow Chobani’s safety procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices
  • Manage multiple projects concurrently and be available to work off hours and weekends as needed
  • Travel on average up to 3 weeks per month to Chobani sites

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering
  • 8-10 years of Capital Project Engineering experience in the food and beverage industry (minimum 8 years)
  • Experience with design, construction and operation of Dairy Manufacturing Site Wastewater Pre-Treatment Plants (dairy preferred)
  • PMP certification preferred
  • Pro-active, personal drive, decisiveness, commercial/business acumen
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Organizational competency and ability to prioritize
  • Inventory management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Positive attitude, high energy, flexibility, and personal initiative
  • Ability to work well under pressure and maintain professional demeanor
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Available to work off hours and weekends as needed
  • Willingness to travel on average up to 3 weeks per month
  • Serve as back-up in the absence of other Project Engineers
