About the role

  • Lead Capital Strategic Planning initiatives, collaborating with the Sr. Director to develop and track short- and long-term capital projects aligned with company goals
  • Ensure proper coordination of work between project teams, subcontractors, and clients
  • Maintain strict adherence to budgetary constraints and ensure projects meet financial objectives
  • Identify risks within projects and implement mitigation strategies to prevent delays and cost overruns
  • Partner with internal plant teams to implement process improvement initiatives that drive operational efficiency
  • Ensure that all project activities comply with regulatory requirements and company policies
  • Oversee resource planning and project staffing to ensure optimal utilization of personnel
  • Develop and implement standardized project management methodologies, tools, and best practices
  • Provide leadership and guidance to project teams, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  • Serve as Senior Project Manager (Sr. PM) for select high-impact projects
  • Develop and oversee project budgets, ensuring alignment with overall business strategy
  • Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for project success
  • Ensure clear and consistent communication of project status to all stakeholders
  • Conduct regular project reviews, summarizing progress, challenges, and next steps for senior management
  • Implement and oversee project risk assessment and contingency planning

Requirements

  • 15+ years of experience in Manufacturing and Process Technologies, preferably within the Food & Beverage or Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry
  • 10+ years of project management experience, including overseeing timelines, budgets, and risk analysis
  • 7+ years of managerial and leadership experience, with a focus on leading project management teams
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in project management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Project; experience with SAP and CAD software (SolidWorks) is a plus
  • Strong knowledge of capital project planning and execution within manufacturing environments
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive projects to completion
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to navigate complex project challenges
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines in a high-pressure environment while maintaining strategic focus
  • Willingness and ability to travel as needed.
