About the role
- Provide leadership, coaching, and accountability for sanitation supervisors and their teams
- Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and collaboration within operations
- Complete performance evaluations of supervised personnel, addressing deficiencies, ensuring proper training, and supporting employee development
- Develop, implement, and monitor KPIs specific to sanitation and CIP to identify trends, drive cost savings, and optimize process reliability
- Lead initiatives to improve CIP efficiency, reduce equipment downtime, and enhance changeover performance
- Conduct root cause investigations and corrective actions related to sanitation or process deviations
- Champion best practices in sanitation workflows, ensuring consistency and continuous improvement in CIP execution
- Support capital and process improvement projects with expertise in equipment cleanability and CIP design
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations or Business Management, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered
- 5+ years of experience in food manufacturing, with leadership roles in sanitation, operations, or other process optimization
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written
- Ability to perform under pressure and within time constraints
- Proven problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and implement solutions
- Continuous improvement mindset, staying current with industry best practices in sanitation and CIP
- Ability to travel up to 10% domestically
