Assist with the preparation of certain external regulatory filings and reporting
Reviews and verifies the accuracy of account coding
Prepares journal entries, maintains and reconciles ledger and sub-ledger accounts
Assist with preparation and analysis of monthly financial statements which would include income and balance sheets used for internal and external reporting purposes
Respond to financial inquiries; provide requested information for use in effective management of the business and/or meeting external reporting needs
Provide and effectively communicate financial information for internal and external audit
Validate work product is accurate
Provide feedback, including sharing best practices, to team members
Participate on cross-functional teams as required
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
Newly graduated to 2 years of experience in Accounting required
Analytical and organizational skills needed with ability to perform required analysis quickly and accurately under tight deadlines
Strong experience using Excel
Ability to work independently, well organized, self-motivated in a fast paced environment
Consumer package goods industry experience a plus
Experience in a CPG manufacturing environment a plus
Knowledge of ERP systems (SAP) a plus
