Provide programming and technical support for clinical application systems with development and maintenance of projects.
Support programs and systems related to the electronic health record and other clinical applications and software that support clinical care.
Provide technical support to HIT analysts and lead small projects/technology initiatives through all phases of systems development including planning, development, implementation and operation for complex computer projects.
Create and update system documentation including diagrams, technical schema, and project related documents.
Work with Senior Directors of HIT to keep them aware of changes or updates to software systems.
Serve as a Health Informatics resource for clinical departments and report progress, issues, and project details to supervisor.
Support the PACS Admin for the Cardiology Department.
Collaborate across clinical staff, HIT division, and the IT department to provide communication, collaboration and expertise in technical aspects of software management.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Health Informatics or related degree and 3-5 years' experience.
OR High School diploma, or equivalent, OR Associates degree and 7 or more years' experience may be accepted in lieu of a Bachelor's Degree.
Experience in the support, development, and management of Healthcare IT.
At least one application-specific Epic certification relevant to the department (Preferred).
Preferred Certification(s): ABII CIIP, PACS.
Must live within the KC Metro area.
Willingness to be vaccinated for influenza and provide immunization records for MMR, varicella, and Tdap as required.
Successful candidates will undergo a criminal background investigation and a drug screen upon hire.
Commitment to clinical staff and departments and ability to provide clear communication and collaboration across HIT and IT departments.
