About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Function as a member of an interdisciplinary team to organize and provide quality patient care services under licensed professional supervision
  • Support safe patient care delivery and promote a safe environment
  • Assist with basic patient care, including vital signs, triage, daily weights, feeds, baths, oral care, linen changes, and transports
  • Utilize and maintain department and patient care equipment
  • Communicate patient-care information, needs, and responsibilities to appropriate personnel
  • Prioritize, deliver, and document patient care and assigned tasks
  • Participate in continuous assessment and improvement of care quality and services
  • Model organizational and developmental skills
  • Assist departmental leadership with developing other staff members
  • Maintain responsibility for personal growth, development, and professional conduct
  • Provide care across applicable pediatric age groups according to competencies and age-specific guidelines

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Successfully completed 1 semester of nursing school with 1 clinical rotation
  • Must be actively enrolled in an accredited school of nursing
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through American Heart Association (AHA) required within 30 days of employment
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities
  • Documentation of ongoing development and training
  • Preferred but not required: anticipated nursing-school graduation date at least one year from program start date (December 2027 or later)
  • Must work at least 3 shifts in a 6-week period
  • Must complete digital video screening questions
