About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide comprehensive care at an advanced practice level to children and their families
Perform comprehensive histories and physical exams
Order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic tests
Develop pharmaceutical and non-pharmaceutical treatment plans
Serve as an educational resource for patients, families, and students
Facilitate patient referrals to other medical providers and agencies
Collaborate and consult with physicians and other healthcare providers

Requirements

What you’ll need

No minimum experience required
Preferred 2 years of experience in pediatric healthcare
Doctorate degree in Nursing Practice or Master’s or Doctorate degree in Medical Science
Licensure as a Registered Nurse in Georgia or Multi-State through Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact
Licensure as Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in Georgia or Physician Assistant in Georgia
Certification as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse by ANCC, AANP, PNCB, or NCCPA
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 60 days of hire for specific specialties
Knowledge of Georgia Scope of Practice for Nurse Practitioners and/or Physician Assistants
