About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide comprehensive care at an advanced practice level to children and their families
- Work independently in an outpatient clinic on weekends only
- Perform comprehensive histories and physical exams
- Order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic tests
- Develop pharmaceutical and non-pharmaceutical treatment plans
- Serve as an educational resource for patients, families, and health care professionals
- Facilitate patient referrals to other medical providers and agencies
- Collaborate and consult with physicians and other health care providers
Requirements
What you’ll need- 2 years of experience in pediatric healthcare preferred
- Doctorate degree in Nursing Practice or Master’s or Doctorate degree in Medical Science
- Master's degree in nursing or bachelor's degree in medical science
- Licensure as a Registered Nurse in Georgia or Multi-State via Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact
- Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) licensure in Georgia or licensure as a Physician Assistant in Georgia
- Certification as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse by ANCC, AANP, PNCB, or NCCPA
- Certification as Family Nurse Practitioner may be acceptable with CNO approval
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association upon hire
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 60 days of hire for Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants
