About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Functions as a member of an interdisciplinary team to organize and provide quality patient care services under the supervision of a licensed professional.
  • Proactively supports the efforts that ensure delivery of safe patient care and services and promotes a safe environment at Children's.
  • Assists in the basic delivery of patient care as assigned by licensed professional personnel using age and developmentally appropriate standards.
  • Communicates information relating to patient care job activities, needs and responsibilities for the assigned shift to appropriate personnel.
  • Utilizes effective organization and communication skills in prioritizing, delivering, and documenting patient care, and documents the tasks/procedure/care that is provided.
  • Initiates and participates in continuous assessment and improvement of the quality of care and services provided.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • No minimum experience required
  • Preferred Qualifications: 2 years pediatric health care experience
  • Certification as a Medical Assistant, Emergency Medical Technician, Nursing Assistant OR Patient Care Technician with pediatric or hospital experience
  • Registered Nursing Student who has successfully completed one clinical rotation
  • At least one (1) year of previous clinical healthcare experience
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through American Heart Association (AHA) is required within 30 days of employment.
