About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Fulfill the purpose of Child Evangelism Fellowship in the chapter
  • Execute plans and objectives of USA Ministries, the local committee, and state board
  • Oversee all aspects of the local chapter
  • Develop, implement, and grow an effective prayer program
  • Promote CEF and increase church partnerships and Good News Clubs and 5-Day Clubs
  • Recruit, train, and equip staff and volunteers
  • Maintain direct ministry contact with children and evaluate CEF programs
  • Build and maintain the Christian Youth In Action ministry
  • Recruit short-term missionaries and provide additional ministry opportunities
  • Arrange and help present ministry training programs
  • Develop a strategic plan for evangelizing and discipling children within the chapter
  • Establish ministry among children in unreached cities, towns, and school districts
  • Meet with paid and volunteer staff for encouragement, counsel, evaluation, and leadership development
  • Work with the local committee and staff to raise sufficient funds
  • Ensure compliance with state and national policies and procedures
  • Complete employee appraisals
  • Oversee and teach teacher training programs
  • Maintain records and develop the annual budget
  • Forward reports, communications, minutes, and funds to proper offices
  • Communicate with the state director and local committee
  • Attend state-office-sponsored meetings
  • Perform other duties assigned by the local committee or state director

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Born-again believer called by God to child evangelism ministry
  • Leadership qualities described in 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1
  • Demonstrated love for Jesus Christ and commitment to prayer
  • Passion for reaching children with the Gospel
  • Experience teaching and evangelizing children biblically
  • Experience discipling, training, and supervising volunteers or staff
  • Ability to lead others and remain a continual learner
  • Commitment to local churches and Christian organizations as ministry partners
  • Ability to identify leaders, organize groups, cast vision, and evaluate ministry programs
  • Extensive experience in biblically teaching and evangelizing children
  • Flawless record in behavior toward children and families
  • Experience discipling and training staff and volunteers
  • Effective teaching skills and willingness to lead, coach, and correct staff and volunteers
  • At least one year of Bible College or Seminary training with good academic performance
  • Commitment to CEF’s Statement of Faith and Ministry Compliance Agreement
  • Clear salvation testimony and active Christian faith
  • Willingness to sign the Ministry Compliance Agreement
  • Intermediate proficiency with MS PowerPoint and email communication
  • Basic proficiency with MS Publisher, Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat
  • Ability to use projectors, Blockrockers, and technology used in Good News Clubs
  • Ability to use MailChimp
  • Legally authorized to work in the US
  • Willingness to complete a background check
  • Willingness and ability to commute to the office
  • Willingness to travel as needed
