About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop and implement communication, branding, and marketing strategies for Child Evangelism Fellowship of Virginia
  • Collaborate with the Director of Development and chapter leadership to develop branding messages
  • Assist with marketing events and create promotional materials
  • Create branding for the State Office and all chapters
  • Conduct research and analyze information for marketing campaigns and strategies
  • Collect and compile constituent feedback for management and leadership review
  • Forecast and analyze trends, marketing strategies, and message performance
  • Prepare and present reports and make recommendations to leadership
  • Maintain and enhance newsletters, social media posts, and website articles
  • Create and place radio spots, podcasts, and other promotional content
  • Train and collaborate with staff and chapter leaders on marketing activities, strategies, and policies
  • Place orders for promotional materials and advise chapters on materials to order
  • Identify, coordinate, and participate in promotional activities and trade shows
  • Develop and maintain relationships with existing and potential ministry supporters and contacts
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to understand and follow nonprofit budget guidelines; no independent budget authority
  • Thorough understanding of principles and methods used to promote products and services
  • Adept at using Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva, and/or other graphic design software
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality in accordance with CEF child protection policies and the CEF of VA Employee Handbook
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered
  • One to three years of related experience in business, promotional sales, or a related field preferred
  • CRM proficiency preferred
  • Ministry or nonprofit experience strongly valued
  • Must agree with and sign the CEF Statement of Faith and Ministry Compliance Agreement
  • Must support and uphold CEF’s mission, values, and child protection policies
  • Active involvement in a local church required
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Must be able to travel occasionally within Virginia as needed
  • Experience creating social media content
  • Proficiency with Adobe, Canva, or similar design tools
