Lead the development and execution of the national sales strategy for Chiesi’s respiratory franchise
Recruit, onboard, and manage a high-performing sales team comprised of (2) Area Sales Directors - East and West; (12-15) Regional Sales Directors; (100-150) Executive Sales/Sales Representatives
Serve as a member of the US AIR leadership team, collaborating cross-functionally with Marketing, Market Access, Commercial Excellence, Medical Affairs, and other departments
Establish KPIs and performance metrics to drive accountability and results
Monitor market dynamics and competitive landscape to adapt strategies accordingly
Foster a culture of excellence, integrity, and innovation within the sales organization
Represent the sales function in senior leadership discussions and strategic planning
This is a field-based position, with the desired candidate preferably located in the Central or Eastern time zones
Requirements
Minimum of 10 - 15 years of progressive sales leadership experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry, with significant experience in sales management and leadership, ideally at a national or large regional level
Direct experience launching pharmaceutical products, with a focus on respiratory or related therapeutic areas
Deep knowledge of the respiratory therapeutic area, including disease states, treatment guidelines, and relevant products
In-depth understanding of the respiratory markets, including patient journey, market access, and reimbursement
Proven success in building and scaling high-performing sales teams in dynamic environments
Strong business acumen, including proficiency in market analysis, forecasting, and budget management
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and lead
Exceptional leadership, coaching, and team development capabilities
Strong analytical skills; ability to leverage data to drive decisions
Ability to travel up to 50/75%
