About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Translate Moët Hennessy Maison strategies into high-impact commercial activation plans across Canada
  • Lead the national trade marketing agenda and set the execution framework for regional teams
  • Ensure brand visibility, distribution support, customer engagement and sales performance across on-trade, off-trade and e-commerce channels
  • Lead the regional marketing organization and provide national strategic direction
  • Coach, support and develop the wider marketing team in line with Moët Hennessy values and leadership capabilities
  • Build relationships with Charton Hobbs VPs and sales teams to drive engagement, education, focus and KPI reporting
  • Collaborate with marketing, communications, finance, operations and sales leadership to align national and provincial execution
  • Define the national trade marketing strategy and develop activation guidelines, point-of-sale assets, brand education materials and channel playbooks
  • Set trade marketing KPIs and monitor execution quality
  • Own the shopper and customer activation agenda, including visibility, distribution programs, trade education and in-store/in-outlet experiences
  • Standardize briefing, planning and post-activation review processes across regions
  • Manage external agency partners, briefs, budgets, execution standards and learnings
  • Partner with MHUSA to share best practices and adapt scalable activation platforms for Canada
  • Lead development and execution of brand activations across consumer touchpoints within A&P budgets and brand KPIs
  • Maintain regional programming calendars covering investments, activations and promotions
  • Optimize planning, tracking and reporting processes
  • Organize and co-lead provincial Quarterly Business Review meetings
  • Lead the annual trade marketing planning cycle and consolidate regional plans into a national view
  • Own and oversee regional commercial A&P budgets and reallocate investments when needed
  • Lead the CHMH on-trade strategy and define activation priorities by channel and key city
  • Develop senior-level relationships with key customers and strategic accounts
  • Build activation guidelines supporting on-trade channel development

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Proven leadership experience coaching and developing teams and managing senior team members
  • Trade marketing and channel activation expertise across on-trade and off-trade channels
  • Strong analytical, organizational and multitasking capabilities
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to build relationships and influence cross-functional internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Project management skills
  • Ability to build, manage and evaluate an A&P budget
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint and Excel
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, quick-turn work environment
  • Good judgment and professionalism under pressure
  • Strong sense of urgency and adaptability
  • Financial knowledge of depletions, sales, DOI and P&L management
  • Strong presentation and negotiation skills for diverse audiences
  • Affinity with the wines and spirits category
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Marketing, Commerce, Business Administration or a related field preferred
  • 10 years of marketing experience, preferably within a fast-moving CPG or luxury company
  • Established trade contacts across on- and off-premise channels are a plus
  • Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle
  • Fluent in English and French
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required
  • Valid travel document is mandatory
