About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Assists in the processing of real estate loan department activity.
Reviews file documentation for completeness and consistency.
Assembles, collates and maintains documentation in proper processing order.
Pre-screens loan applications for qualifications.
Efficiently manages and monitors a pipeline of assigned loans.
Maintains a weekly status report on all files.
Prepares all applicable file documentation including regulatory disclosures.
Orders preliminary title reports, appraisals, and flood certifications.
Communicates loan processing information to members and other stakeholders.
Prepares loans for final underwriting approval.

Requirements

What you’ll need

3 to 5 years’ related experience required, including direct experience as RE loan processor.
Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two‑year college or technical school.
Current working knowledge of real estate lending criteria (FNMA, FHLMC) required.
Ability to write and speak effectively in English using correct spelling and grammar.
Basic math skills including the ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages using a 10-key.
Proficient in the use of basic applications in a Windows-based environment including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Moderate keyboard skills at 40 wpm.
Excellent customer service skills.
