About the role

  • Drive the identification and implementation of process improvements, including optimizing tools to support test automation.
  • Convert user stories and defect resolutions into clear, executable test scripts.
  • Conduct manual testing to validate system functionality and performance.
  • Monitor, track, and manage defects throughout the testing lifecycle.
  • Design and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts to validate Salesforce configurations, customizations, and overall functionality.
  • Partner with business stakeholders, developers, and system administrators to gather requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage aligned with business objectives.
  • Perform functional, integration, system, and regression testing to ensure Salesforce applications meet defined quality standards.
  • Identify, document, and manage defects using a tracking system, collaborating with technical teams to ensure timely resolution.
  • Create, maintain, and manage test data and environments to support accurate and realistic testing scenarios.
  • Develop and enhance automated testing scripts and tools to increase efficiency and reduce manual effort.
  • Contribute to release management activities, including reviewing deployment plans and assessing application readiness.
  • Collaborate across cross-functional teams to ensure testing reflects end-to-end business processes and workflows.
  • Stay current with Salesforce updates, new features, and industry best practices, evaluating their impact on testing strategies.
  • Provide actionable feedback and recommendations to improve user experience, system performance, and overall product quality.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Experience in public sector environments or participation in multiple Salesforce implementation projects is preferred.
  • Strong technical expertise in the Salesforce platform, including a solid understanding of core functionalities, configurations, and data models.
  • Demonstrated experience in test planning, test case design, and execution within Salesforce environments.
  • Proficiency with QA tools and methodologies, including test management systems, defect tracking tools, and test automation frameworks.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to troubleshoot complex issues and produce detailed defect documentation.
  • Working knowledge of Agile or Scrum methodologies, with experience contributing to Agile development teams.
  • Salesforce certifications (e.g., Salesforce Administrator or Platform App Builder) are preferred.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.
  • High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of general professional experience.
  • At least one (1) year of experience in software troubleshooting.
  • Hands-on experience working with Salesforce and within Agile development processes.
